Biographical Information: Christopher J. Freeman
I was born in Elyria, Ohio in 1966 and have been a life-long Northeast Ohio resident. I obtained my undergraduate degree (BS/AA) from the University of Akron in 1998 and my law degree from The Ohio State University College of Law (J.D.) in 1991.
Prior to starting my own law firm in 2002, I had practiced law at a large Canton, Ohio law firm, a mid-sized Northeast Ohio law firm and worked in a sports apparel business in Elyria, Ohio, where I acted as general counsel. In 2004, I had also established and oversaw the operations of a small boutique consumer bankruptcy law firm in Cleveland, Ohio (with offices in Akron, Elyria, Willoughby and Youngstown), prior to returning to my own law firm full time.
In addition to my private legal practice, I currently act as general counsel and product creative director for a well known and successful internet self-helplegal forms sales company, Standard Legal. My activities there consist of preparing and overseeing the preparation of "self-help" legal forms that are offered for sale to the public via the company's web site. I also act as general counsel for the company. I also act as counsel to a new real estate legal document preparation service called RealtyPact.
I currently live and work in western Summit County, Ohio. I am married and have three children. I am very active in my children's school, scout and sporting activities. Before having kids, I used to play golf. ;)
